CISED Consultores has specialized know how on this sectors’ many specificities, stemmed from the expertise accumulated by its key team members. Recent studies in the transport sector include:

• multi criteria evaluation of alternatives for infrastructure siting;

Services provided in recent years include, in particular, ex-post evaluations of several Cohesion Fund projects in transport, for the European Commission and the Portuguese authorities; multi criteria evaluation studies on siting alternatives for an high speed rail station and route alternatives in rail infrastructure, consultancy in various aspects of paid parking, including planning, financing and management of car parks and parking areas, and technical advice and deviation analyses in highway construction and improvement works.

Several transport-specific services on public procurement were also provided, concerning conventional and high-speed rail, road and airport infrastructure.

Recent advisory services to municipal companies include the management of municipal car-park and paid parking areas concessions. Studies carried out by CISED in this area include, namely, development models for new ventures, analyses of existing car parking systems and alternative analyses for the implementation of drivers’ electronic information systems.
